Verse (3:40), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (3:40) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person masculine singular and is in the indicative mood (مرفوع). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (يكون) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
