Verse (3:36), Word 4 - Quranic Grammar

The fourth word of verse (3:36) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A noun and possessive pronoun. The noun is masculine and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The noun's triliteral root is rā bā bā (ر ب ب). The of the first person singular possessive pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.

Sahih International: But when she delivered her, she said, "My Lord, I have delivered a female." And Allah was most knowing of what she delivered, "And the male is not like the female. And I have named her Mary, and I seek refuge for her in You and [for] her descendants from Satan, the expelled [from the mercy of Allah]."
