Verse (3:14), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (3:14) is a form II feminine passive participle and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The passive participle's quadriliteral root is qāf nūn ṭā rā (ق ن ط ر).

Verse (3:14)

The analysis above refers to the fourteenth verse of chapter 3 (sūrat āl ʿim'rān):

Sahih International: Beautified for people is the love of that which they desire - of women and sons, heaped-up sums of gold and silver, fine branded horses, and cattle and tilled land. That is the enjoyment of worldly life, but Allah has with Him the best return.

This should be Q.I i.e. 1st form of the Quad

Wright's Arabic Grammar Vol 1 : Page 300, shows weight of passive participle of Q.I
