Verse (35:11), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar


The first word of verse (35:11) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and proper noun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The proper noun is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The proper noun's triliteral root is hamza lām hā (أ ل ه).

Verse (35:11)

Sahih International: And Allah created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop; then He made you mates. And no female conceives nor does she give birth except with His knowledge. And no aged person is granted [additional] life nor is his lifespan lessened but that it is in a register. Indeed, that for Allah is easy.
