Verse (32:14), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (32:14) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb and subject pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is dhāl wāw qāf (ذ و ق). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.

Verse (32:14)

Sahih International: So taste [punishment] because you forgot the meeting of this, your Day; indeed, We have [accordingly] forgotten you. And taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do."
