Verse (2:47), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

__

The second word of verse (2:47) is a proper noun in the genitive case (مجرور). The case marker is a fatḥah instead of a kasrah because the proper noun is a diptote (ممنوع من الصرف).

(2:47:2)
is'rāīla
(of) Israel!
PN – genitive proper noun → Israel اسم علم مجرور بالفتحة بدلاً من الكسرة لأنه ممنوع من الصرف
