Verse (2:36), Word 16 - Quranic Grammar

The sixteenth word of verse (2:36) is an indefinite form X masculine passive participle and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The passive participle's triliteral root is qāf rā rā (ق ر ر).

Verse (2:36)

The analysis above refers to the 36th verse of chapter 2 (sūrat l-baqarah):

Sahih International: But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

It is form X Noun of place

Derived verbal forms passive participle weight is also used for ism e zarf, isme zarf zaman is noun of place and ism e zarf zaman is noun of time. We can't call such words passive participle.
