Verse (2:31), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (2:31) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and verb. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The form II perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine singular.
