Verse (2:176), Word 7 - Quranic Grammar

The seventh word of verse (2:176) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A resumption particle and accusative particle. The connective particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The accusative particle belongs to a special group of words known as inna and her sisters (ان واخواتها).

Verse (2:176)

The analysis above refers to the 176th verse of chapter 2 (sūrat l-baqarah):

Sahih International: That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.
