Verse (2:152), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (2:152) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is dhāl kāf rā (ذ ك ر). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is first person singular.
