Verse (2:100), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (2:100) is divided into 3 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, supplemental particle and time adverb. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The supplemental particle wa is usually translated as "then" or "so".
