The eleventh word of verse (29:67) is divided into 4 morphological segments. An interrogative alif, supplemental particle, preposition and active participle. The prefixed alif is an interrogative particle used to form a question and is usually translated as "is", "are", or "do". The supplemental particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The prefixed preposition bi is usually translated as "with" or "by". The active participle is masculine and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The active participle's triliteral root is bā ṭā lām (ب ط ل). Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
