Verse (28:47), Word 14 - Quranic Grammar

The fourteenth word of verse (28:47) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A particle of cause and verb. The prefixed particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so". The particle is used to indicate cause and makes the following verb subjunctive. The form VIII imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is tā bā ʿayn (ت ب ع).
