Verse (28:40), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (28:40) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The prefixed conjunction fa is usually translated as "and". The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is nūn bā dhāl (ن ب ذ). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.
