Verse (28:13), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (28:13) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is rā dāl dāl (ر د د). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine singular.

Verse (28:13)

The analysis above refers to the thirteenth verse of chapter 28 (sūrat l-qaṣaṣ):

Sahih International: So We restored him to his mother that she might be content and not grieve and that she would know that the promise of Allah is true. But most of the people do not know.
