Verse (25:2), Word 10 - Quranic Grammar

The tenth word of verse (25:2) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is third person masculine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (يكن) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
