Verse (24:32), Word 9 - Quranic Grammar

The ninth word of verse (24:32) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A verb and subject pronoun. The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (يكون) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun.
