Verse (24:30), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

The second word of verse (24:30) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A preposition and active participle. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The form IV active participle is masculine plural and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The active participle's triliteral root is hamza mīm nūn (أ م ن).
