Verse (23:18), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (23:18) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is nūn zāy lām (ن ز ل). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun.

And We send down

Verse (23:18)

The analysis above refers to the eighteenth verse of chapter 23 (sūrat l-mu'minūn):

Sahih International: And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away.
