Verse (22:71), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (22:71) is a perfect verb (فعل ماض). The verb is third person masculine singular. The verb's triliteral root is lām yā sīn (ل ي س). The verb (ليس) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
