Verse (22:26), Word 13 - Quranic Grammar

The thirteenth word of verse (22:26) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A preposition and active participle. The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The active participle is masculine plural and is in the genitive case (مجرور). The active participle's triliteral root is ṭā wāw fā (ط و ف). Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).
