Verse (19:9), Word 13 - Quranic Grammar

The thirteenth word of verse (19:9) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is second person masculine singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (كان) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
