Verse (18:82), Word 20 - Quranic Grammar

The twentieth word of verse (18:82) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form X imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine dual and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is khā rā jīm (خ ر ج). The suffix (الألف) is an attached subject pronoun.

Verse (18:82)

The analysis above refers to the 82nd verse of chapter 18 (sūrat l-kahf):

Sahih International: And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure for them, and their father had been righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord. And I did it not of my own accord. That is the interpretation of that about which you could not have patience."
