Verse (17:33), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (17:33) is an indefinite masculine passive participle and is in the accusative case (منصوب). The passive participle's triliteral root is ẓā lām mīm (ظ ل م).

Assalamualikum, could you please explain this: «ومن قتل» مستأنفة

whats the meaning of مستأنفة?

also in this ayah, is there no نائب فاعل ? im slightly confused as there is قتل

which is ماضي مجهول , Thank you

Waalaikomasslam......نائب الفاعل here is a hidden pronoun ضمير مستتر, and this pronoun is HE.....u can refer to this page http://corpus.quran.com/documentation/dependencygraph.jsp

As for مستأنفة....it means this word or sentence is starting a new meaning or concept but this concept is related to the previous ones....it comes from استأنف; meaning to start something after a pause
