Verse (15:6), Word 8 - Quranic Grammar

The eighth word of verse (15:6) is divided into 2 morphological segments. An emphatic prefix and passive participle. The prefixed particle lām is usually translated as "surely" or "indeed" and is used to add emphasis. The indefinite passive participle is masculine and is in the nominative case (مرفوع). The passive participle's triliteral root is jīm nūn nūn (ج ن ن).
