Verse (15:3), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (15:3) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, verb and subject pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The form V imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is third person masculine plural and is in the subjunctive mood (منصوب). The verb's triliteral root is mīm tā ʿayn (م ت ع).
