Verse (15:33), Word 3 - Quranic Grammar

The third word of verse (15:33) is an imperfect verb (فعل مضارع). The verb is first person singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (اكن) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
