Verse (14:34), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (14:34) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The form IV imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is second person masculine plural and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is ḥā ṣād yā (ح ص ي). Sahih International: And He gave you from all you asked of Him. And if you should count the favor of Allah , you could not enumerate them. Indeed, mankind is [generally] most unjust and ungrateful.
