Verse (13:36), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

The second word of verse (13:36) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The form IV perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is hamza tā yā (أ ت ي). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (13:36)

The analysis above refers to the 36th verse of chapter 13 (sūrat l-raʿd):

Sahih International: And [the believers among] those to whom We have given the [previous] Scripture rejoice at what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], but among the [opposing] factions are those who deny part of it. Say, "I have only been commanded to worship Allah and not associate [anything] with Him. To Him I invite, and to Him is my return."
