Verse (12:45), Word 11 - Quranic Grammar

The eleventh word of verse (12:45) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The form IV imperative verb (فعل أمر) is second person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is rā sīn lām (ر س ل). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The of the first person singular object pronoun has been omitted due to elision (الياء محذوفة), and is indicated by the kasrah.
