Verse (12:33), Word 15 - Quranic Grammar

The fifteenth word of verse (12:33) is divided into 2 morphological segments. A conjunction and verb. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The imperfect verb (فعل مضارع) is first person singular and is in the jussive mood (مجزوم). The verb's triliteral root is kāf wāw nūn (ك و ن). The verb (اكن) belongs to a special group of words known as kāna and her sisters (كان واخواتها).
