Verse (11:65), Word 1 - Quranic Grammar

The first word of verse (11:65) is divided into 4 morphological segments. A resumption particle, verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The connective particle fa is usually translated as "then" or "so" and is used to indicate a sequence of events. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is third person masculine plural. The verb's triliteral root is ʿayn qāf rā (ع ق ر). The suffix (الواو) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person feminine singular.
