Verse (11:119), Word 5 - Quranic Grammar

The fifth word of verse (11:119) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A conjunction, preposition and demonstrative pronoun. The prefixed conjunction wa is usually translated as "and". The prefixed preposition lām is usually translated as "for". The demonstrative pronoun is masculine singular. Together the segments form a preposition phrase known as jār wa majrūr (جار ومجرور).

Sahih International: Except whom your Lord has given mercy, and for that He created them. But the word of your Lord is to be fulfilled that, "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and men all together."
