Verse (11:101), Word 2 - Quranic Grammar

The second word of verse (11:101) is divided into 3 morphological segments. A verb, subject pronoun and object pronoun. The perfect verb (فعل ماض) is first person plural. The verb's triliteral root is ẓā lām mīm (ظ ل م). The suffix (نا) is an attached subject pronoun. The attached object pronoun is third person masculine plural.

Verse (11:101)

The analysis above refers to the 101st verse of chapter 11 (sūrat hūd):

Sahih International: And We did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves. And they were not availed at all by their gods which they invoked other than Allah when there came the command of your Lord. And they did not increase them in other than ruin.
