Chapter (86) sūrat l-ṭāriq (The Night-Comer)

Sahih International: There is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

Pickthall: No human soul but hath a guardian over it.

Yusuf Ali: There is no soul but has a protector over it.

Shakir: There is not a soul but over it is a keeper.

Muhammad Sarwar: There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds).

Mohsin Khan: There is no human being but has a protector over him (or her) (i.e. angels incharge of each human being guarding him, writing his good and bad deeds, etc.)

Arberry: Over every soul there is a watcher.
