Sahih International: For the petitioner and the deprived -

Pickthall: For the beggar and the destitute;

Yusuf Ali: For the (needy) who asks and him who is prevented (for some reason from asking);

Shakir: For him who begs and for him who is denied (good)

Muhammad Sarwar: for the needy and the deprived,

Mohsin Khan: For the beggar who asks, and for the unlucky who has lost his property and wealth, (and his means of living has been straitened);

Arberry: for the beggar and the outcast,
