Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

Sahih International: So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers].

Pickthall: And We rescued him and his household, save his wife, who was of those who stayed behind.

Yusuf Ali: But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind.

Shakir: So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind.

Muhammad Sarwar: We saved (Lot) and his family except his wife who remained with the rest.

Mohsin Khan: Then We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was of those who remained behind (in the torment).

Arberry: So We delivered him and his family, except his wife; she was one of those that tarried.
