Verse (7:8) - English Translation

Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

Sahih International: And the weighing [of deeds] that Day will be the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is they who will be the successful.

Pickthall: The weighing on that day is the true (weighing). As for those whose scale is heavy, they are the successful.

Yusuf Ali: The balance that day will be true (to nicety): those whose scale (of good) will be heavy, will prosper:

Shakir: And the measuring out on that day will be just; then as for him whose measure (of good deeds) is heavy, those are they who shall be successful;

Muhammad Sarwar: (Everyone's deeds) will certainly be weighed (and evaluated) on the Day of Judgment. Those whose good deeds weigh heavier than their bad deeds will have everlasting happiness.

Mohsin Khan: And the weighing on that day (Day of Resurrection) will be the true (weighing). So as for those whose scale (of good deeds) will be heavy, they will be the successful (by entering Paradise).

Arberry: The weighing that day is true; he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers,
