Chapter (7) sūrat l-aʿrāf (The Heights)

Sahih International: And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us with which to bewitch us, we will not be believers in you."

Pickthall: And they said: Whatever portent thou bringest wherewith to bewitch us, we shall not put faith in thee.

Yusuf Ali: They said (to Moses): "Whatever be the Signs thou bringest, to work therewith thy sorcery on us, we shall never believe in thee.

Shakir: And they said: Whatever sign you may bring to us to charm us with it-- we will not believe in you.

Muhammad Sarwar: They said to Moses, "No matter what miracle you show to bewitch us, we will not believe you."

Mohsin Khan: They said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Whatever Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) you may bring to us, to work therewith your sorcery on us, we shall never believe in you."

Arberry: And they said, 'Whatsoever sign thou bringest to us, to cast a spell upon us, we will not believe thee.'
