Chapter (56) sūrat l-wāqiʿah (The Event)

Sahih International: A company of the former peoples

Pickthall: A multitude of those of old

Yusuf Ali: A (goodly) number from those of old,

Shakir: A numerous company from among the first,

Muhammad Sarwar: These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient

Mohsin Khan: A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam).

Arberry: A throng of the ancients
