Chapter (55) sūrat l-raḥmān (The Most Gracious)

Sahih International: Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

Pickthall: All that are in the heavens and the earth entreat Him. Every day He exerciseth (universal) power.

Yusuf Ali: Of Him seeks (its need) every creature in the heavens and on earth: every day in (new) Splendour doth He (shine)!

Shakir: All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory).

Muhammad Sarwar: Everyone in the heavens and the earth depends on Him. His task in preserving His creation is continuous.

Mohsin Khan: Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)!

Arberry: Whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth implore Him; every day He is upon some labour.
