Chapter (53) sūrat l-najm (The Star)

Sahih International: And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives

Pickthall: And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort,

Yusuf Ali: That man can have nothing but what he strives for;

Shakir: And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for-

Muhammad Sarwar: nor can man achieve anything without hard labor.

Mohsin Khan: And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad) ,

Arberry: and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured,
