Chapter (5) sūrat l-māidah (The Table spread with Food)

Sahih International: Not upon the Messenger is except [for] notification. And Allah knows whatever you reveal and whatever you conceal.

Pickthall: The duty of the messenger is only to convey (the message). Allah knoweth what ye proclaim and what ye hide.

Yusuf Ali: The Messenger's duty is but to proclaim (the message). But Allah knoweth all that ye reveal and ye conceal.

Shakir: Nothing is (incumbent) on the Messenger but to deliver (the message), and Allah knows what you do openly and what you hide.

Muhammad Sarwar: The duty of the Messenger is only to preach. God knows what you reveal or hide.

Mohsin Khan: The Messenger's duty [i.e. Our Messenger Muhammad SAW whom We have sent to you, (O mankind)] is but to convey (the Message). And Allah knows all that you reveal and all that you conceal.

Arberry: It is only for the Messenger to deliver the Message; and God knows what you reveal and what you hide.
