Chapter (45) sūrat l-jāthiyah (Crouching)

Sahih International: And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."

Pickthall: And when Our clear revelations are recited unto them their only argument is that they say: Bring (back) our fathers. then, if ye are truthful.

Yusuf Ali: And when Our Clear Signs are rehearsed to them their argument is nothing but this: They say, "Bring (back) our forefathers, if what ye say is true!"

Shakir: And when Our clear communications are recited to them, their argument is no other than that they say: Bring our fathers (back) if you are truthful.

Muhammad Sarwar: When Our enlightening revelations are recited to them, their only argument against it is, "Bring our forefathers back to life if what you say is true".

Mohsin Khan: And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, their argument is no other than that they say: "Bring back our (dead) fathers, if you are truthful!"

Arberry: And when Our signs are recited to them, clear signs, their only argument is that they say, 'Bring us our fathers, if you speak truly.'
