Chapter (38) sūrat ṣād

Sahih International: Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious

Pickthall: Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating.

Yusuf Ali: Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender.

Shakir: Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect:

Muhammad Sarwar: (Muhammad), say, "I do not ask any reward for my preaching to you for I am not a pretender.

Mohsin Khan: Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist).

Arberry: Say: 'I ask of you no wage for it, neither am I of those who take things upon themselves.
