Sahih International: They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."

Pickthall: They said: Nay, but we found our fathers acting on this wise.

Yusuf Ali: They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing thus (what we do)."

Shakir: They said: Nay, we found our fathers doing so.

Muhammad Sarwar: or can they benefit or harm you?"

Mohsin Khan: They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so."

Arberry: They said, 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing.'
