Chapter (26) sūrat l-shuʿarā (The Poets)

Sahih International: And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"

Pickthall: And when the wizards came they said unto Pharaoh: Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?

Yusuf Ali: So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Pharaoh: "Of course - shall we have a (suitable) reward if we win?

Shakir: And when the magicians came, they said to Firon: Shall we get a reward if we are the vanquishers?

Muhammad Sarwar: When the magicians came, they asked the Pharaoh, "Will there be any reward for us if we win?"

Mohsin Khan: So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir'aun (Pharaoh): "Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?"

Arberry: Then, when the sorcerers came, they said to Pharaoh, 'Shall we indeed have a wage, if we should be the victors?'
