Chapter (25) sūrat l-fur'qān (The Criterion)

Sahih International: And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate

Pickthall: And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two;

Yusuf Ali: Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes);

Shakir: And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean.

Muhammad Sarwar: who in their spending are neither extravagant nor stingy but maintain moderation,

Mohsin Khan: And those, who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but hold a medium (way) between those (extremes).

Arberry: who, when they expend, are neither prodigal nor parsimonious, but between that is a just stand;
