Chapter (22) sūrat l-ḥaj (The Pilgrimage)

Sahih International: O mankind, fear your Lord. Indeed, the convulsion of the [final] Hour is a terrible thing.

Pickthall: O mankind! Fear your Lord. Lo! the earthquake of the Hour (of Doom) is a tremendous thing.

Yusuf Ali: O mankind! fear your Lord! for the convulsion of the Hour (of Judgment) will be a thing terrible!

Shakir: O people! guard against (the punishment from) your Lord; surely the violence of the hour is a grievous thing.

Muhammad Sarwar: People, have fear of your Lord; the quake (of the physical realm) at the Hour of Doom will be terribly violent.

Mohsin Khan: O mankind! Fear your Lord and be dutiful to Him! Verily, the earthquake of the Hour (of Judgement) is a terrible thing.

Arberry: O men, fear your Lord! Surely the earthquake of the Hour is a mighty thing;
