Chapter (20) sūrat ṭā hā

Sahih International: He said, "It is my staff; I lean upon it, and I bring down leaves for my sheep and I have therein other uses."

Pickthall: He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses.

Yusuf Ali: He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses."

Shakir: He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it.

Muhammad Sarwar: He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons.

Mohsin Khan: He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses."

Arberry: 'Why, it is my staff,' said Moses. 'I lean upon it, and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep; other uses also I find in it.
